CB Radio is still alive, just not as popular.. I think the launch of GMRS and non licensed FRS 2 way radios have taken away some from CB Radios, due to being a cheaper and quieter alternative.. I also think the online "chat" lines have taken away from share of CB Radio operators, however chat lines will never have the thrill and enjoyment as CB Radio in my opinion. Their is more of a sense of accomplishment, when you install (or even build) your own antenna, and set up your own station.. Who has the strongest signal talks the farthest, or can win that key down.. I admit CB radio has changed, but this hobby will always be kicking..

CB Radios are a great hobby, but cann also be a cheap and be the "best" radar detector on the road, in addition can help you when you need directions, get lost, or just a way to rag chew and talk and have a good time, during a long drive, or when looking for a hobby while at home. I like Peanuts CB Shop, www.peanutscbshop.com becuase they've always treated me right.
